CURE is providing technical support to ANN to implement the JNNURM City Development Plan (CDP) by enabling a community-city engagement for inclusive planning. CURE has helped set up 9 Task Forces in the city and is supporting implementation of the mandatory and optional reform in the sectors of slum upgrading, housing and access to basic services for the urban poor, water supply, sanitation and sewerage, heritage and tourism, financial arrangements and governance systems and education, health and livelihood development. As part of technical support activities, CURE has undertaken two research studies; city wide slum mapping and livelihood CURE is supporting ANN with data and information for the preparation a Detailed Project Reports (DPR) It is also enabling ANN to develop proposals for accessing resources under the Community Participation Fund (CPF) under JNNURM.
